I know he's your dad, and you want to help him, but there is a term you may be
familiar with: 'enabler', and you may or may not want to be one of those.

Sometimes, it's best to just let someone experience the hell that is running
Windows, keeping it from being infected withing 20 minutes of a clean install
(that's actually the average, according to SecurityFocus), keeping up with
endless and buggy updates [1], virus definitions, stopping spyware, etc., etc.

So, a little 'tough love' needed here? Or maybe you might just enjoy, just a
little bit, saying 'tolja so, Dad'.

Anyhow, I've been oft accused of being a 'zealot', so take this for what it's
worth, but Windows is a dead end, XP is leaving skid marks on the bowl, and it's
only going to get worse, much worse [2].
