Hi all,
I have a print server with mndk 10.1 official. Sometimes when I restart
the server before it shows the login page it crashes and the error
message is:
<0>Kernel panic: Fatal exception in interrupt. In interrupt handler.-not
syncing.
Just a wild guess... the panic message refers to an interrupt problem. I've
seen plenty of past messages on this list about APIC settings causing
problem, and APIC stands for the "Advanced Programmable Interrupt
Controller". So I would try messing around with the APIC and LAPIC (Local
APIC) settings, turning them off if they're on or on if they're off and see
if it helps.
The "not syncing" part of the message could also refer to a hard drive
problem, since syncing is the processing of writing changed blocks to disk.

I don't think here is any hardware problem because my system works fine
when mndk loads normally, but I found out that when I shut down my
system it doesn't turn off automatically and I have to turn it off
manually from power switch. I am almost sure that in mndk settings there
is somewhere that I can define to turn off computer when I shut the
system down like other linux systems. Also, when I turn it off manually
the unusuall crash occures everytime !!! Does it make sense ? I don't
know !!!
