The drive is going back into the laptop after installing Mdk 10.1 on it The adapter didn't come with any instructions but I have the stripe on the IDE cable aligned with the 1 mark on the adapter , this leaves 4 pins separated by a small gap from the other pins I am assuming that these are the master/slave jumpers > > Mikkel
