I have had my share of problems in this area but I believe that is past
except for the problems with Netscape 4.61 itself, which tends to hang
whenever it feels like it. Sometimes access to an URL moves sharply,
other times I receive "no route to host" , but one or two subsequent
clicks brings up the URL. Other times the web page will be starting to
print
on the screen when the "no route to host" box comes up :-)

But as far as Kppp is concerned I have noticed a couple people make
reference to the fact that kppp dynamically makes the entries in your
/etc/resolve.conf file (which it does) so I just leave mine blank and
seem to be better off . It might not hurt to look in it and hash out
references made to your local host/domain which seems to go in there
by default though. This of course is an even better feature if you are
experimenting with multiple IPs for awhile.

In kppp setup I have best results by checking all the "little boxes" but
"use lock file" and "auto configure hostname from this IP".

Hope this to be of some help.

Larry
