You *have* run Xconfigurator & specified your card, haven't you? Do you know
how much RAM it's got? Moving the RAM setting down a notch in Xconfigurator
can sometimes help, & is another setting you can play with...
also, you could try asking about your problem in the "comp.windows.x"
newsgroup (or searching it @ deja.com).
As for buying a new card, it's what I did when I was running
Caldera 2.2 & it didn't support my embedded chip. Installing it was as
simple as slipping a jumper on the motherboard.
Of corse, YMMV, & from the doc's, it seems you should be able to get your
own going....
