All win OS like to totally overwrite the MBR.  Ifyou have a boot disk for
linux, use it to boot into your system.  If necessary,(may not be) edit
/etc/lilo.conf, then from a console, type /sbin/lilo.  That should put LILO
back in the MBR.  Check to make certain that /etc/lilo.conf contains an entry
for your win 9x so that you can dual boot.
