That has been my single largest complaint about Netscape and Linux.  Though this doesn't pertain much to KDE.  I have 2 phone lines and have dialed the M$ machine with IE and the Linux machine with Netscape.  I've downloaded the same file from the same FTP server both with a browser and with FTP.  The M$ machine *always* finishes in 1/2 the time with the browser (if the Netscape finishes at All!!), but my FTP sessions have been a wash.  This is all a result of a default Mandrake 6.0 installation (including whatever version of Netscape came with the distro).

Off topic, but hopefully, someone here can provide an answer.  There's probably a better place for this request though ...

Subject: [newbie] can't fully download...

Hello fellow Linux users,
I've just found out that I'm not able to fully download anything from the Internet.  For instance, I tried downloading an MP3 yesterday and the download windows just closed at about 10%!!!  Whenever I try to download anything, it does the same thing!  Any suggestions?
