George

Have you tried the Frame Buffer server?

If not that, then you could use VNC and svncviewer

I have a Slackware installation (Also) running the Xfb server with my
Diamond S540.
Expensive card that wasn't covered by Xfree86 3.3.5 works upto 1600 x 1200
x32bit

--------------------------------

If you opt for the VNC / svncviewer approach you will probably need to
uncomment
in /etc/vga/libvga.config the line for setting chipset to VESA

Worked great for 5 different video cards of mine. Also fixed my Quake
