hi all,
I just received Linux Mandrake GoldPack and tried to
install it on my machine (Micron TransPort TREK 2,
233MHz, 64M, 4.0GHD w/WinNT). I don't particurally
like this GUI-installation so that I used the
text-base installation. It went fine until it asked
for creating a boot disk. I tied to create a boot
disk but got an error message everytime I attempt to
create one. Also, when I attempt to install LILO on
MBR, I get an error and couldn't install LILO at all.
Now, I re-installed my old Mandrake 6.5. Does anyone
know why I cannot creat a boot disk and/or install
LILO on MBR? Is this version of Linux incompatible
with my machine or I got a defect CD-rom? Thanks in
advance.
