Have you looked at the Trinity OS document at
http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~dranch/LINUX/index-linux.html

It is Redhat/Mandrake-centered, and covers many aspects of getting a
functional and _secure_ network running.  Some of the security things
may not apply (i.e. be necessary anymore) to a Mandrake 7.0 system w/
the msec features, but cannot hurt.
