I am still working out the @Home cable service connection problem. I have been following everything to the ' T '. The server names are still not recognized!! However, while in Linux, I noticed that my GeForce 256 card, and 3COM905c NIC share the same IRQ11. Could this be the reason that I am having problems connecting to my @Home cable service provider? Also, this is a shot in the dark but I'll try anything. If, I try the following: A) Unplug the 3COM905C NIC and turn off my LANcity modem B) Delete Windows NT4 SP5 and Linux Mandrake 7.0 C) Insert the 3COM905c NIC back in to its slot, and reinstall Windows NT4 D) Reboot and install Linux Mandrake 7.0, and then configure my Host_name, card, IP address etc. through DrakX. The $64,000 question is, will it work? The odd thing is that other people using the @Home cable service were connected with no problem. Roman (Now, the penguin's laughing again)
