I recently purchased Lnx4win (version 6.5 i believe) in order to try out
Linux.
Unfortunately i have a problem!!!!
my cd drive is E: (dvd drive)
installing to hard drive D: (16gb)
(win98 is on C:)
After running install in windows and setting up my options:-
warn on exit
create shortcut
2gb native
128mb swap
The comp restarts, then alot of text comes up on screen telling me what is
happening
then it freezes saying this:-
partition check:
hda: hda1
hdb: hdb1
VFS: Cannot open root device 08:21
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 08:21
So i can never install it on my comp.
However, i have a laptop and tried installing it on that
hard drive C: (6gb)
dvd drive D:
It worked fine when installing it on the laptop, but i dont want it on the
laptop, i need it on the main comp!!
Can anyone please help??
