It doesn't matter. If you install it in Gnome, you'll have to logout and then
back in for the changes to take place.

It didn't change mine, except for the program menu's. It adds its own
categories and directories, while keeping all the regular Mandrake ones. It's
not too much of a deal, but if you don't like redundancy or messiness, then it
might bother you.

Love it. It's fast, stable, and the installation is one of the best I've ever
seen in Linux.

If you have the bandwidth, definitly.
