i use linux mandrake 7.1 complete and i had to make my root partition
3100mb to install everything but if you use the delux version of linux
mandrake 7.1 than you will have to make your root bigger than 3100mb but im not
shure how much bigger cause i never used the delux version yet if your going
to install more software later than you might have to make your / partition
much bigger than 3100mb so you can have extra free space left in the /
partition after install i only made 3 partitions i only
use
linux swap 250mb linux native / 3100mb linux native /home 100mb
if you are going to use the partition /usr and /usr/local or /opt they
need to be the same size as the linux native / partition but
im not shure how big to make /boot /var i never used them before i hope
that helps
