Jay,
What he's saying here is that the display on his laptop is way off and
the login screen is huge. I've seen this before on laptop installs cause
the config he's chosen doesn't match the hardware he's got in the
machine. He's going to have to continue to try different combinations of
drivers until he comes up with a combination that works for his laptop.
About a month ago I did an install for the CPA at work and spent 3 1/2
hours working on just getting the display correct using an acceptable
color depth. It can be a real challenge to your patience and your Linux
knowledge.

hey someone figured it out now since im slightly new can you tell me how to
go about doing that, i tried drakconf while in kde but it seems to do nothing
it looks exactly the same, no matter if i try 1400x1600 or go 540x640 my
laptop is supposed to be 800x600 which is what i originally tried to install
