There are 3 packages associated with netscape
netscape-common -- this one is required
netscape-communicator -- full netscape package, browser, news, mail, editor,
and a bunch of other stuff
netscape-navigator -- just the browser
Which combination to you have installed? You should have netscape-common and
one of the others. If you have both communicator & navigator installed, you
might have problems. if you do not have either communicator or navigator
installed, you will have problems.
Personally, I feel that the communicator package is a bit of a waste. There are
better mail, news and html editors available than what is included.
Communicator also seems to be less stable than navigator.
