I am getting the same error message. I have an AMD 750MHz with IDE hard
drive and CD running the paid for version of Mandrake 7.0. I created a CD
from the 7.1 ISO file and tried an install by booting from CD. I get the
"error loading ramdisk". It then reboots and if I remove the CD it boots 7.0
with no problem.

Is there a 7.0 to 7.1 upgrade type of thing?
