    There's prob'ly several services which you should disable.
In a console, su to root, and type 'DrakConf'.  One of the tools 
you'll see is 'startup services'. Click on that and you'll get a 
dialog box showing all installed services, each with a button to 
toggle it on/off. When you hold your mouse pointer over the service, 
a tool tip box will pop up briefly describing the service.

It better describes each service, and suggests whether it should be 
on/off.
