Hi all,
I have just installed the Mandrake 7.2 as a second OS to Win95(or it used to be:(
When it installed grub the first time it destroyed my win FAT on /dev/hda1 and so Win
would not load obviously but neither would 7.2! Thanks to a previous post regarding
the hd optimizations switch(now off) and idebus=66, 7.2 boots well from grub:-)
My prob is that is still tramples on my win. It does not seem to trash my FAT now
but it does come up with the error 'not a system disk...', upon trying to boot with
win startup disk and a fresh install of win (<1hr after grub) it fails with a vfat
error and halts everything??
I chose to install grub to /dev/hda (as suggested)
Anyone know why this is happening or what I can check??
