Marcia....that's a grub installation problem I believe.  You 
should be able to boot the system with the boot floppy that 
you made during the install process.  After it boots with 
your floppy you should be in a position to diagnose either 
your /etc/lilo.conf or your /boot/grub/menu.lst and then 
(re)install either lilo or grub.
