Yeah, but g++ is one of the best c++ compilers out there and it's free!  I
don't think that free necessarily means junk when it comes to linux.  I
think linux has proven that you can have free software that is of high
quality.

Linux is licensed under the GNU which means "Free Software".  I dont think
the face of Linux will change unless GNU change its rules to make it not a
free software which I doubt that will ever happen.
