That's the last of 5 updates Chris provided. I'm not sure, but i
suspect there might be some dependency issues if you only d/l the
current contents of this dir. (I did all 5 upgrades as Chris provided
them). I believe any dependencies can be fulfilled with non-cooker rpms
tho. Some have emailed me privately about this and I provided a list
of the current versions pertinent to this upgrade that I have installed
(listed below my sig)
It's important to put all the neccessary rpm's in a dir by
themselves and run (as root) 'rpm -Uvh *.rpm' on them to avoid
circular dependencies. You'll prob'ly also then need to run
'update-menus -v' to straighten out your icons/menus (not a bad idea
with any 7.2 version anyhow :) If any of y'all want additional help,
I'll do want I can, but email me privately.
For those that want to try KDE2 "very close to 2.1" I can tell you
these packages Chris provided won't disappoint you. Many KDE2
irritations are solved, KDE is slicker and quicker, very few minor bugs
are introduced, YMMV. New features are described here:
