[newbie] XFree86 4.0.1

Is anyone else besides me having a problem installin XFree 4.0.1 in Mandrake 
7.2?  I tried installing Xfree 4.0.1 though rpmdrake and everything seemed 
to install fine..I have an Xfreeconfig-4 file, but when I do a X -version 
and in KDE I still get 3.3.6
Anyone  know what's up with that? Should I just try manual install?
