Vic,
Yes...use the URL that Roman posted, only take one the "/" (front slashes)
cause theres a spot in the URL where there are two and should only be one.
I think he was eating expresso beans again.
Your system sounds a lot like mine. Chris's rpm's are good ones and will
treat your system well. I haven't had any trouble at all with the rpm's
that he's posting to the server. In fact, I stopped having trouble when I
started using his packages.
There are likely going to be a couple of packages that when you run the
test on the packages before you do the actualt install you will be
needing. Those will be egcs-1.1.2-40mdk.i586.rpm and
egcs-libstdc++-1.1.2-40mdk.i586.rpm. These two packages you will be able
to find in the dir just above the one that the packages for KDE2.1beta2
are located in. Do NOT take any packages from anywhere else and add or use
with Chris's packages. If you do I can guarentee you will have trouble.
I found out the hard way and scrambled my eggs but good. Since I've used
Chris's packages though I haven't had a lick of trouble.
If you run into any trouble or need any more help getting these installed
feel free to email me offlist if you wish.
have fun and enjoy,
