With Kmail you probably have not set it to delete mail from the server as you
pick it up in Kmail, so each time you go back to the server for mail it
remembers what you have and loads everything again. If you do this two or
three times you start getting repeats of some messages two or three at a
time. Go to "settings >configuration " on the tool bar and look for the
check box to delete from server. Make sure it is checked. It's in Network
and then you click on modify to your incoming account. You will see the check
box in the next screen to pop up.
