Not sure, Benjamin, but I'll suggest this:  Assuming you have USB support, and your 
port is active, try Hardrake.  It'll scan for new hardware.  Not sure it'll puck up 
something on USB, however.  Usually it scans for ISA or PCI hardware.  Worth a try 
though.
