# man rdev

Some how u have to tell ur new kernel where the root,
swap partition are after u created one.
rdev ur new kernel b4 u install with lilo, grub to
MBR.

I am not so sure how did they settle that for those
kernels in /boot/vmlinu* delivered in CDs to match
individual partition. May be per install-script
(drak*) ?
