[newbie] About the Modem

Hi there,   First of all this Mostafa from Egypt. It's the 1st time to use the Linux operating system ... I use (Mandrake 7.1)..     I have a problem in useing the ((Modem)) and I'm connecting now through windows98 :)   The kind of my modem is Rockwell (Conexant Soft56 Data,Fax,Speakerphone PCI Modem) and another information it should be on (com3 or higher).   I'm really looking forward to testing the Mandrake through the internet.. can any one give me a solution for this problem on my email ([EMAIL PROTECTED])   I'll be soooo glad if I found a solution in my inbox :)   Thanks in advance                                               With all my respect...                Yours,                Mercy
