To install Star Office, just go to the cdrom directory, usually /mnt/cdrom, and find a file named "setup" in there somewhere. Then type "./setup -net" from the command line in the directory that setup is located in. That'll setup a multiuser Star Office installation. To install a general application, most of those will be in .rpm format. So to install those, once again go to /mnt/cdrom and then make your way to the directory that holds the rpm file you want to install. Then type "rpm -Uvh the_rpm_file.rpm" as root. > > 2- Access diskete driver, open a MS Word97 doc file, edit and save it as > Star Office similar application file. General question is how to save/open > a file on diskette. Once you're in Star Office, click on "Open" and go to the /mnt/floppy directory, that is where you'll find all your files on your floppy disk.
