OK - my last comment on this, I didn't mean for this to start a thread and
hope it dies with this - I didn't make any judgements like you concluded -
of course I know the beta's had some bugs - I was testing them - my last
statement was that I would download the 8.0 and see how it was - I
naturally would expect that trivial, surface bugs would be fixed - I was
not "offended" by the English errors, but that still qualifies as errors in
the English release candidate, the same as it would count as an error in a
user manual - I was not bashing Mandrake as you seem to think - and yes, I
did miss the RC1 release date - but, testing on beta 3 was still going on
with Crashtesters, even as the RC1 was out and even as 8.0 was released -
seems cross-purpose to me, but thats just how it looks to me. I did not
have a heart attack or over-react as you have to my email. I have been
testing the betas and generally had nothing to report as all components
seemed to work great on my system.
So, mea culpa, mea culpa - I wasn't passing judgement, regardless of what
you and a few others have thought
