[newbie] Non-Graphical Login

[Rod Upfold]

I don't want to login with the graphical login..either as root or user.
I am using LM 7.2...can you tell me how to get back to the non graphical
login interface?

I want to be able to login as "root"
press return
Type in my password
press return
and if I want to goto graphics, I will then type "startx" or stay with the
non graphics screen and type in evey thing...
