[newbie] Limewire, Phex

Has anyone  done a successful install of either of these?  I get an error 
message with limewire that says to try the download again and be sure to use 
binary mode.  Phex gives me a core dump. Not real important cause I don't 
have anything on my system that anyone else would want. But, I thought I 
would see what gnutella was all about. Not today I guess.  The install 
instructions do not work on my system.  Any suggestions?
