1)Run both ScanDisk and Defrag on your drive before you begin the
installation
2)Run the installation in Expert mode.
3)At the partitioning stage of the installation click on your Windows
partition and select the resize option and resize it by the amount of space
you wish to alow for linux.
4)Click on the free space and create a 256MB linux swap partition.
5)Click on the remaining free space and create an ext2 partition and mount
it as /. (If you choose you can create additional linux partitions but they
are not necessary.)
6)Click done and the partition tables will be written to disk.
7) At the next screen formatt both the swap and the / partition. The
installation of packages will then begin.

If when you actually get to partitioning you are unclear or unsure as to
the directions
do not do any thing, exit the installation and get back to me and I will
even more detailed instructions.
