Hello, I am having problems (sorta) installing files off mandrake CDs thru RPM Drake. Problem 1: It asks me to enter either CD1 or CD2 etc and then it opens my CDROM drive, now here is the problem - By the time the drive is half way open it automatically closes itself before I even have time to put the CD in. So, the only way for me to get the CD in is to hold the CD drive open w/ my hand then place it in. Problem 2: Occasionally it asks me to insert CD1(or2), after I enter it and click "OK", about 30 seconds later it tells me to do it again, eventho the CD is already in. Problem 3: I have 2 CD drives, 1 burner, and 1 52x reg CD rom, RPM Drake reads from my burner only. How can I get it to NOT use my burner as primary drive and to use the correct CDrom? System Info: Custom Built. AMD Duron 850MHz 256MB RAM Two 20GB drives (Maxtor) (DualBoot w/ Win98) [Like it gets used, lmao] Giga-Byte System Board CD & CDRW are both Lite-ON (52x and 12x10x32) ATI Rage Fury 32MB RealTek 10/1000 Fast Ethernet Card And of course, Mandrake 8.0 (I know some of this info isnt needed, but its all part of a saved draft) -------------------------------------------------------
