Here is a good one for you experts.

Just today I was working on a Linux router at work to keep test network
traffic off of our main network.

I went to use nmap to check open ports on the router and some other
computers. Well, when I went to use the OS fingerprinting features of
nmap, it kept complaining about no permission for a raw socket.

The kernel is a custom kernal. I have verified that I compiled in Unix
socket support, and I was root at the time, so this problem is quite
strange.

Any help would be nice. Please e-mail me direct with answers and CC the
list, as I don't have time to read all of the list.

Thanks,
        Dan
