17. Go to: http://mail.lokigames.com/%7Eheimdall/nvidia/?S=A and download
nv_check.sh.
18. In a terminal as root, type: cd <to where this script is>
19. type: sh nv_check.sh (and click enter when asked)
20. highlight the names of the files it gives you as conflicting (by
depressing your left mouse button as you move the cursor over the text (file
names))
21. type: rm -f <click your middle mouse button/wheel/or both mouse buttons>
or alternatively type each file's name in turn. It's usually three of them
for me.
22. exit
23. click on kstart button, navigate to amusement > arcade > gltron, click
left mouse button and see if it has acceleration. (alternatively, while
still in terminal, type: gears or /usr/X11R6/bin/morph3d)

did it work?

-s
