May take me awhile to get there, I did some thing WRONG when I was last in
MDv7.0 and now it hangs when starting. Even using a floppy and doing a
'RESCUE' or Linux through LILO it hangs with:
Kernel Panic: No init found. Try passing init=option to kernel.
Then NOTHING works, 'Alt+fx' (1-6), 'Ctrl+Alt+Bckspc', 'Crtl+Alt+Del',
etcetera. The only thingy that will work is the "RESET" button on the
front of the Tower.
The only thingy I did with the 'kppp' was open it then click on 'SetUp' and
inputing the data from my ISP, Primary DNS, Secondary DNS, Teley #, USER
ACCESS, and then PassWord. Also set it for PAP authentication and using a
POP3 account. Insure you have the 'ttySx' set correctly for the install of
your MDM. If you have NOT removed the other MDM ensure you have it DISABLED.
