I found I also needed to upgrade initscripts and iptables to get
the system completely (including supermount) working with 2.4.13-2.
I used the cooker src.rpms and rebuilt them on ML8.1
initscripts-6.27-22mdk iptables-1.2.4-1mdk
I don't have any USB devices, but it could be a devfs problem. Have
y'all tried booting with devfs=nomount ?
BTW, current kernels -3mdk thru -6mdk, devfs seems to be completely
broken, -2mdk was OK.
