Robin, Actually, that looks pretty good. I've got a bunch of windows open right now, but I'll try it again after I finish what I'm doing and can shut down X. (I started XFdrake, and in short order I have a place where I can select an alternate video card. Don't see VESA or framebuffer (yet), but do see generic VGA and that's worth a try. Thanks very much!
