Well, if you want to know what mailer people are using just click on View=>Headers=>All and look at the stanzas in the header beginning with the letter X. Older headers had an X-Mailer entrywhich identified the client. That will serve for 99.9%+ of all cases except for someone who uses remailer programs or gets cute with telnetting into some relaying machine on port 25 to completely spoof the header (which is after all just text).
