No luck! Did the above using sylpheed-claws, which opened the start
window for the email programme.  Completed the various spaces as I
thought appropriate.  Tried to 'get mail' and receive this: 
"Connection to pop.localhost:110 failed"  The log shows " Connecting to
POP3 server; pop.localhost ... ** connection failed."

Should I take out the pop and smtp options?
