Just heard back from Mandriva - the hdlists have been fixed, but it might take a few hours before all the mirrors contain the new files. I suggest you wait until later today and then try to update withMargot wrote:
If you check the mirror with your browser, you will see that the version of urpmi on the mirror is urpmi-4.6.24-3mdk, which is a newer version than your system is looking for.
I suggest that you run the command urpmi.update -a to update your hdlists, and then try urpmi --auto-select again. If it still doesn't work, let us know.
thanks Margot, good observation.
as reported 2 days ago, urpmi.update -a && urpmi --auto-select results in the failure Travis is describing.
is it usual that Mandriva wouldn't fix the index file for days ?
It happens all too often - particularly with a new release :-(
maybe we could donate them a tool to upload the files automatically according to the list of files listed in the index ;-)
I've contacted Mandriva to report the problem - I suggest you try the updates again tomorrow, perhaps they will have fixed it by then.
wow, what a service, Margot, thank you :-)
kind regards philippe
urpmi.update -a && urpmi --auto-select
