I have a cd burner identified as /dev/hdc, or /mnt/cdrom. I have a new dvd burner at /dev/hdd, or /mnt/cdrom2.
I installed 10.2/SE from a dvd. But, whenever I try to add new software using rpmdrake, it asks for the media to be in hdc (or cdrom, I forget which).
That happened to me, too,
I want to know the best way to fix this.
I notice that under Configure Media > Edit a medium the URL is listed as 'removeable://mnt/cdrom/media/main'. Is the fix as simple as changing 'cdrom' to 'cdrom2' in the URL spot for each "Installation DVD (cdromx)"? My instincts tell me that should do it, but I don't want to break anything else.
All I did was made the change you mentioned and everything was fine.
