A few days ago I promised to keep you informed on the sad state of affairs in Europe :

As you'll recall, Danish Sec.Trade, Mr. Bendtsen, ignored a parliamentary order mandating him to reject the EU Commission's proposed directive on software patents, US-style.

Nevertheless, he got off the hook by one vote. His savior was a politician named S. Auken, who is a prominent member of the so-called Social Democrats - a party who's name doesn't in any respect whatsoever reflect it's agenda and has a century-long history of corruption, fraud and treason. Including high treason.

First and foremost the EU Parliament is nothing but a Mickey Mouse parliament. The overwhelming majority of EU-MP's are former national MP's who's incompetence made them annoyances at home.

My only comfort in this misery is the upcoming referendum on the EU "Constitution". I certainly hope the French, the Dutch, the Danes and the Brits will give those EUdiots a bloody nose.

Why must we always fight so bitterly for freedom...?

excellent analysis, Kaj, great heart and good question. could it be that a vast majority doesn't mind freedom, just food money and entertainment ?

if everybody can please keep party politics out of this thread,
i am genuinely interested in the question
and would appreciate some pertinent answers from the community here.

kind regards philippe
