Yes Anne, it's very much a linux issue (as well as a freedom issue,
generally). The 'Constitution' will allow the Commission to
further tighten the shackles on our everyday life, not only
regarding the slope of cucumbers etc...
I'm absolutely convinced that if the Commission has it's way, we'll
all be forced to pay the Microsoft Tax if we want to use the
internet. Small players like Mandriva, Mozilla, Apache and MySQL
will go south due to to the Patents Directive. The Commission has
proved - beyond any reasonable doubt - that it is 'owned' by
Microsoft, and that it doesn't care for a second what the EU
Parliament thinks - if it can think, that is...
Better let us throw a little sand in the EU Monster Machinery while
we can.
