I bought my disks here in NZ from a reputable dealer who guarantees his disks. I had all sorts of problems with trying urpmi from them, sometimes mixed messages about bad signatures, and wouldn't install. Other times would install absolutely fine. Also problems with adding them as media after deleting to try sort things out.
It's interesting that another (experienced) person is having troubles, after the issues mentioned here on the list
