hello Tango Echo

I recently upgraded to Mandrake 2005 and am really
liking it =). In 10.1 I used Xine for playing video and it seemed to work great.
there is an inflation of "seems" on this list.
where does it come from ?
i mean, did it work well or did it just seem to work :?)

For some reason, I can't find the xine-ui package to get it working in 10.2. There is the gxine program, but that one causes problems.
for kde, you can just as well get rid of it.

The error I get is that the xine-ui package doesn't
exist - or at least when I try to urpmi it. The method
I used was to urpmi xine... Of course that displayed
like 12+ packages w/the word xine in them. I proceeded to install all packages that related to
"xine" (e.g. xine-win32, etc). Seems I remember that
it was the xine-ui that actually let you use the
program. How did you install it? Perhaps my urpmi
sources are messed up?
right. xine-ui-0.99.3-2mdk and xine-win32-1.0.1-0.1.102plf

kind regards philippe
