But I think making sure the hardware is ok is a good first > step in this case. > > Mikkel Thanks Mikkel, I downloaded the image, both drives pass with flying colors, running memtest about 30% through I got a reboot, I don't know if that signifies a bad ram stick or not. I'll try rerunning it tomorrow when I have more time. From the error above I thought maybe the kernel had gotten corrupted somehow so I ran upgrade from CD1 which reinstalled the kernel. I'll see what happens during the night and into tomorrow. Thanks for the tip on the cd.
