Hi folks, This might be a bit of an unusual question coming from a newbie, but newbie I am, so here goes.
I've just installed 10.2 Limited Edition, with the aim of being able to run the OpenVMS version of SIMH. Everything seems to have installed correctly, but when I try to build the emulator, the compilation fails because it's missing a file called libpcap.a Now, I'm told that this emulator builds correctly under Debian v3.0, and the zipped sources unpacked without any errors - but I appear not to have a copy of this file on my PC. Does anyone know anything about it, e.g. is there a specific package I should have installed in order to get it? My guess is that it's something to do with providing networking services, as building the emulator on my current setup *without* networking support succeeds, but that's not much use to me. Thanks, Brian.
