Sorry---failed to relay that part of it. I did attempt to repair the errors, and I get the exact same errors about /dev/hdb1 (the /boot partition) and /dev/hdb6. Then it gives me: [FAILED] ***An error occurred during the file system check. ***Dropping you to a shell;the system will reboot ***when you leave the shell. Give root password for maintenance 9or type Ctrl-D for normal startup) Ctrl-D just reboots again, and I'm not sure what to do as far as "maintenance". If it's just my boot partition, I'm not sure of the steps to get it back up and running. Any ideas? Thanks Cameron
